A quick post this week for Metaphor Monday. I’m visiting my favorite state park, Cape Lookout. It’s about an hour south of my home. Before I moved to the coast, I visited Cape Lookout a few times a year. It inspired me. It’s the location of my first sober trip. I submitted my first essay for publication here. I spent New Year’s Eve here last December. (“Retreat”)
The only thing it doesn’t have is much wifi. I’m composing this on my phone, standing by the waves, tide coming in, sun almost down, while I still have some cell service. The blues, golds, violets are spectacular.
Metaphor Monday #36
Lovely. Inspiration is everywhere in nature and often overlooked. Thank you for bringing this into focus.
Ooh! That’s a good one! Thank you for sharing. I hope you are enjoying yourself.
